This condition is often associated with plantar fasciitis and can cause intense pain at the base of the heel, especially when standing or walking.

Risk Factors and Symptoms

Heel spurs develop due to repeated microtrauma to the heel area. Major risk factors include being overweight, engaging in intense physical activities, and wearing improper footwear. People with flat feet or very high arches are also more likely to experience this condition.

Symptoms include sharp, stabbing pain in the heel, often more pronounced in the morning or after prolonged periods of rest. The pain may worsen following activities such as walking or running.

Therapeutic Approaches

The treatment of heel spurs begins with selecting appropriate footwear and using orthotic insoles to reduce pressure on the heel. At our clinic, we offer neurosensory taping, which helps decrease inflammation and stabilize the heel. Reflexology can also be beneficial in improving circulation and alleviating chronic pain associated with heel spurs.

Learn more about our foot care services.

The Lenoir’s spur, a bony growth on the heel often associated with plantar fasciitis, causes heel pain and can be alleviated through orthopedic insoles, neurosensory taping, and plantar reflexology.

[64

post-4829","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-foot-care
["GET
