Diagnostic examinations and
other nursing care

We offer a wide range of diagnostic tests and general nursing care, enabling you to speed up access to care. Our professionals will answer your questions and provide you with fast, quality service.

Ambulatory blood pressure monitor (ABPM)

Your doctor may have prescribed ABPM to diagnose or monitor a blood pressure disorder.

ABPM is a small machine connected to a cuff that you wear at home for a 24-hour period. Your blood pressure is automatically measured every 30 minutes during the day and every hour at night. Each measurement is recorded, and a report of the results is sent to your doctor.

Electrocardiogram (EKG)

Your doctor may have prescribed an EKG to diagnose a heart rhythm disorder, to follow up on a known medical condition, or for preventive purposes.

The EKG is a non-invasive test that evaluates the electrical activity of your heart. During the examination, a series of electrodes are placed on your chest, wrists and ankles. A "picture" of your heart's electrical activity is then taken.

Your EKG will be analyzed by a cardiologist, and the results sent to your doctor.

CardioSTAT (Holter) - Advanced Cardiovascular Monitoring

The CardioSTAT is a small, portable cardiac monitor that records cardiac activity for 24 hours to 14 days, as required. This enables a more in-depth assessment of your heart rhythm, ensuring early detection of cardiovascular problems. Unlike the Holter, the CardioSTAT is comfortable to wear as it comprises just two electrodes. It's waterproof, so wearers can continue with their daily routine, such as showering, as normal. Once the prescribed analysis period has elapsed, cardiologists read and interpret the data, then send the result to your doctor.

Earwash

Blockage of one or both ears by earwax is much more common than you might think! It can lead to symptoms such as a blocked ear sensation or reduced hearing. Earwashing is a gentle and effective treatment that removes excess earwax painlessly and safely. It may be recommended by your doctor, nurse practitioner or hearing care professional, but no prescription is required.

Wound care and dressings

Wound care involves the assessment and treatment of skin lesions to promote optimal healing. Our trained professionals are able to treat all types of wounds, with or without a prescription*. They have in-depth knowledge of different wound types, dressings, materials and bandaging techniques.

Here are just a few examples of the types of wounds we can treat: surgical wounds, skin tears, ulcers, picc line care and dressing, suture and staple removal* (with prescription) and much more!

Urinary catheter change (bladder catheter)

Urinary catheters are used to empty the bladder when this is impossible or naturally ineffective as a result of surgery, prostate disease, urinary tract infection or other conditions. It is imperative that catheter care is carried out by trained professionals to avoid potential complications.

Our team will provide you with optimal care in a warm and respectful environment.

Do I need a medical referral for certain nursing services?
Yes, most of the services we offer, such as diagnostic tests (ABPM, ECG, blood tests), require a referral from a healthcare professional. If you believe you need these tests, schedule an appointment with our Nurse Practitioners (NPs) specializing in family medicine.
