FAQ
Women's health
Do I need a medical requisition for a women’s health consultation?
No, you don’t need a medical requisition to have a women’s health consultation with our nurses (urinary tract infection, vaginal infection, Pap test, contraception).
Our nurses can assess you, order diagnostic tests and prescribe treatments as needed.
What’s the difference between a Pap smear and an STD/STI screening?
The Pap smear is an examination specifically designed to detect abnormal cervical cells, often caused by HPV, in order to prevent cervical cancer. In contrast, STD/STI (Sexually Transmitted Disease/ Sexually Transmitted Infection) screening aims to detect a variety of infections, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, and herpes, which can affect various parts of the body. Each test plays a crucial role in sexual health, but they target different concerns.
